The cost of silence!

End climate silence: The most important thing you can do to fight global warming

Although I am a Canadian, not an American, the statistics of this article and the recommendations of this article likely apply to my country also. Global warming is an international issue, and it is also a moral issue — our failure to respond is an insult to our intelligence, and a reflection on our immaturity as a species.

Our hubris and our acedia are about to destroy us. We are so unwilling to step outside the cultural norm — that if we do not talk about an issue then it will go away — we are willing to destroy our species in consequence.

We need to break the silence.

This is the fundamental premise of The Climate Mobilization, one that I agree with. Again, it is an American organization, and it needs to be an international organization.
